Assam: Teacher made to kneel down in front of students; says ‘still love my students’
TINSUKIA: In a shocking incident, a female teacher was humiliated and made to kneel down in front of students of Philobari in Tinsukia district of Assam
Reportedly, the incident took place at Philobari Senior Secondary school on Monday. however, the video of the bizzare incident came to light recently.
As per reports, the students were protesting against the admission fees backed by some local organizations.
The situation took a grim turn after the teacher said something in a raised voice which was not taken well by the protestors. Eventually, the teacher had to kneel down before the students.
The video, circulating on various social media platforms, has created a widespread outrage. Reportedly, the state government has directed proper investigation of the matter.
Reportedly, the school authorities claim that the students didn’t have any discussions with them over the issue of admission fees and staged the protest even before letting them know about the issue.
“I am still not able to get over the incident. I was feeling emotional. All I want is that the academic ambience should be healthy and beautiful. I would like to request everyone to do what I couldn’t do in my teaching career of 27 years”, said the teacher while interacting with media.
“I still love my students. I would like to tell them to not keep any hard feelings for me. Being a teacher I said something roughly and the way they reacted to it…. I just hope God shows them the way”, she added.
