The parents who are willing to take their children home are also welcome, informed the Chief Minister. The state government has also provided financial assistance to the parents to make sure that they do not have to send away their other children for money.

He further thanked the BTC Chief Pramod Boro for their assistance in this rescue operation.

Speaking in the occasion, Sarma said, “Our job is not finished yet. 80 children were taken and we were able to rescue 42. Search for the rest of the kids is still on. We have traced 10 more kids”.

The Assam government will continue to work relentlessly against drugs and human trafficking, further said the Chief Minister.
