Assam will never allow BJP to shake the foundation of unity, tweets Gaurav Gogoi

GUWAHATI: Kaliabor’s Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said Assam will never allow the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to “shake the foundation of unity”.

 

He further said as the BJP-led government tried to impose the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019, the state will continue to fight against all divisive forces “come what may”.

 

He took to his Twitter handle to tweet: “Assam will never allow BJP to shake the foundation of unity, as it tried by bringing in CAA! Assam has & will continue to fight against all divisive forces- come what may! United we stand!”

 

 

 

Gogoi in another post stated that the martyrdom of the five young boys who have lost their lives during the CAA movement, which took place in December 2019, will not go in vain.

“The martyrdom of five young boys - Sam Stafford, Dipanjal Das, Ishwar Nayak, Abdul Alim and Dwijendra Panging -- during the anti-CAA movement will not be in vain,” he tweeted.“Those who wish to save Assam should vote for the Congress,” he added.

 

 

 

He was apparently putting the words of party leader Rahul Gandhi’s speech at Sivasagar yesterday in letters for wider propagation.

 

Rahul Gandhi has yesterday said: “CAA will not be allowed to be implement, come what may.”
