Bitopan Hazarika, hailing from Marini’s Meleng-Madhupur village, has reportedly ordered a POCO X3 handset costing around Rs. 18,500 on the platform. The order, shipped by the E-com Express courier company, arrived on time. However, Hazarika, who was waiting eagerly to get his hands on a brand new handset, was disappointed (to say the least) when he found out that the package contained 3 bars of Surf Excel soap, each costing Rs. 10!

Interestingly, the buyer, Hazarika, made an “unboxing” video of the mobile phone during which it can be seen that the box of the cell phone contained not a handset, but, in fact, 3 bars of Surf Excel soap. The video has now been circulated on WhatsApp by the buyer, and the incident has caused quite the sensation in Mariani. According to reports, the buyer has filed a complaint with the company, and a replacement is likely being arranged.

Needless to say, this shocking incident has gone viral on social media, with netizens marvelling at the sheer magnitude of the mix-up. I mean, soap bars in place of a cell phone? Quite incredible, isn’t it?
