Assam: 'Zublee Foundation' Observes World Organ Donation Day by Organizing Cyclothon

Guwahati, August 13, 2019:

Zublee Foundation on Tuesday observed the World Organ Donation Day, by organizing a cyclothon with the theme “Cycle 2 Recycle” with a motive of spreading awareness on Deceased Organ Donation among people.

The Cyclothon started at 6 am from Assam State Zoo & Botanical Garden, which proceeded towards G.S Road via Chandmari and Ulubari and back to the starting point, covering a distance of approximately 13 km.

Around 30 cyclists, who participated in the event on World Organ Donation Day, were accompanied by volunteers and members of ZF. The event was flagged off by IPS Partha Sarathi Mahanta (Superintendent of Police, Kamrup Rural) in the presence of Iron Man, Rajnish Goswami, and IPS Indrani Baruah.

Zublee Foundation is gearing up for their next event that is the 3rd Edition of “Organothon” on November 24 and is hoping for the great support from everyone.

One of the organizers said, "the Foundation is committed to the cause and will continue to do so, to bring about a much-needed change in people’s perception on Deceased Organ Donation by spreading awareness."
