Assamese singer Neer Dipankar passes away at 34

SIVASAGAR: Noted Assamese Singer Neer Dipankar breathed his last at his residence in Sivasagar district. He was 34. The cause of his death is yet to be revealed.

The sudden death of the acclaimed singer has come as a shock for his fans, friends, and family members and netizens from Assam have taken to social media to condole his demise.

Fans and fans paid their final tributes to the crooner on his Facebook profile.

“I can't believe this, you left so soon bhai... last week only you n me were planning for some gigs. Oh God!!! Its painful... Where ever you are, you'll be in mine deep core of heart. Lost a very good friend. May your soul rest in peace (sic)", wrote one friend on Facebook.

Dipankar has sung for several Assamese albums such as ‘Nilimare Kulat’, ‘Siyor’, and ‘Tuptup’, and many more.

Dipankar was also associated with the Kohinoor Theater, one of the oldest and most renowned mobile theatre groups in the state of Assam.
