ATM Robbers in Tinsukia Open Fire on Guards, 1 Killed

Tinsukia, January 29, 2020:

A security person of an ATM has been killed in a firing incident in Assam’s Tinsukia district on Wednesday evening.

According to reports, the firing took place between four-five dacoits in the Rupai Siding area of Tinsukia. They were attempting to loot the ATM of State Bank of India (SBI).

The security person has been identified as Simu Buragohain. The dacoits fled the scene after they shot at the security.

Police investigation is going on. However, they informed that the dacoits have fled towards Kakopothar.

It may be mentioned here that ATM loot has become a major security concern over the past few months. Recently, police nabbed at least nine dacoits who were planning for ATM loot in Guwahati.
