Prominent Bangladeshi woman TV journalist Subarna Nodi was hacked to death by unidentified miscreant at Radhanagar in Pabna district of Bangladesh on Tuesday evening.

Pabna Additional Superintendent of Police Goutam Kumar Biswas told reporters that the unidentified assailants rang the doorbell around 10 pm. They hacked Subarna indiscriminately when she opened the door and fled the scene thereafter immediately, he added.

She was rushed to the Pabna General Hospital, where she was declared dead upon arrival.

According to Pabna Reporters Unity General Secretary Kazi Babla, who quoted some eyewitness, there were around 10 to 12 assailants, who came riding motorcycles to attack her.

The police have started an investigation into the incident, though they have found no lead regarding the motive behind the attack. No one has been arrested so far.
