BJP booth president Debananda Gogoi stabbed to death in Nagaon

NAGAON: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) booth president of Buridihing Gaon Panchayat in Tinsukia, Debananda Gogoi has been stabbed to death in Doomdooma area in Nagaon under Margherita LAC this evening.

The BJP worker has been stabbed to death ahead of the Assam assembly poll slated to be held from March 27 in three phases.

State finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has condemned this act of violence, and wrote on Twitter, "Shocked & anguished to hear killing of Debananda Gogoi Ji,
