GUWAHATI: Assam pugilist Ankushita Boro, 20, has finally tied the knot with her longtime coach Trideep Borah.
Boro and Borah, who is 2-star All Indian Boxing Federation (AIBF) coach, tied the knot at a glittering ceremony on April 22 at Thelamara in Tezpur.
A number of prominent sportspersons -- including fellow pugilist Jamuna Boro -- attended the couple's wedding ceremony and gave them their best wishes.

The couple, that has been dating for 6 years, will hold their wedding reception in Guwahati tomorrow.
Borah, 31, originally hails from the Dibrugarh district in Upper Assam but is now based in Guwahati. He has been been a boxing coach since 2015.
Boro, who hails from Meghai Jarani village in Sonitpur district of Assam captured the imagination of thousands of sports-lovers in the state where she became one of the five Indians to earn a gold medal in the world youth women boxing championship held in Guwahati.
She also won the gold medal in the first North East Olympic Games held in 2018 in Imphal, Manipur. She won the silver medal at the 2nd India Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati.
