Breaking: Earthquake of 5.1 Magnitude Jolts Assam

Guwahati, February 8, 2020:

An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude on the Richter Scale shook Assam and neighboring areas on Saturday evening.

The 5.1 magnitude earthquake was reported at 6.17 in the evening. No damage to property has been reported due to the earthquake.

According to India Meteorological Department, the epicenter of the earthquake has been located at Bongaigaon, Assam.
