BREAKING: Kolkata & Other Major Towns Placed Under Lockdown

Kolkata, March 22, 2020:

Kolkata and other major towns and cities of West Bengal will observe a nine-day lockdown in a bid to contain the outbreak of novel coronavirus starting from March 23 to March 31, 2020.

The West Bengal government has issued this emergency lockdown in view of the spike in the number of coronavirus cases in the country.

According to reports, selective lockdown have been directed to Kolkata and other municipal towns and cities. The order will be in force till March 31, 2020.

It may be mentioned here that India has recorded a total of 340 coronavirus cases as on Sunday. Maharashtra has topped the list. followed by Kerala with 45 cases.

Globally, 3,08,615 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported. Death toll has reached 13,071, recovery cases stand at 95,834 and those in critical condition is 9,943.
