BSF nabs cattle smugglers with arms in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district

SITALKUCHI (COOCH BEHAR): The 100 Battalion of BSF under Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended two Indian miscreants along with a pistol and rescued a cattle head from the bordering area of Gitaldamaricha village in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal last night.

Troops of Lalbazar border outpost carried out a special operation in Gitaldamaricha village close to Indo-Bangladesh border and around 2.30 am the operation party observed suspicious movement of miscreants along with cattle heads moving towards the Indo-Bangladesh border from India side.

The BSF troops rushed towards them and on seeing the BSF troops the miscreants tried to flee. However, the BSF party nabbed two Indian cattle smugglers, identified as Mohabir Mia, 26, of Petla Nepra village and Lukmaan Mia, 38, of Gandhabari village.

The cattle smugglers and seized pistol and cattle have been handed over to Sitalkuchi police station in Cooch Behar district for further legal action.
