SIVASAGAR: As the heat of By polls intensifies in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took yet another interesting jibe at the opposition parties while campaigning at Thowra on Tuesday.

Elaborating through the example of purchasing a cow, the Chief Minister said that one should always buy a cow that gives milk.

"Congress has no government in the state so no milk can be produced, Raijor Dal's Government is nowhere to be found so no matter how hard you milk, you will not get anything. On the other hand, you can get 26 litres of milk by milking BJP", said the Chief Minister.

Speaking further about the the controversial Cattle Protection Bill, Sarma said that the bill is yet to be implemented.

"People still are not aware what's actually in the bill, yet they can't back out from negative publicity", he said.

No other party leaders have shown this much concern for dairy farmers than BJP's, stated the Chief Minister.

I was watching from my chopper and it felt like I was seeing a garden from above because of the colourful attires worn by our respected women folk.

For the by-elections, the government remains the same. Only the people can vote and choose MLAs for their respective constituencies. There is not much to think about voting", he said while elaborating while stressing that BJP is the ruling party in the state as well as at the centre.
