The Government of India Ministry of Finance Department of Expenditure Finance Commission Division approved the release of Rs 6,15,774.95 Lakh (Rupees Six Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Seven Crore, Seventy Four Lakh and Ninety Five Thousand Only) as grants-in-aid to cover deficit on post-devolution revenue account in 2020-21 as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission on a monthly proportionate basis to the following State Governments in the month of August 2020: (Rs. in lakhs

Out of the money being granted Assam received 631.58 crores.

The Reserve Bank of India, Nagpur to credit the above-indicated amount to the Accounts of the concerned State Governments. 3. The payments are adjustable in the Accounts of the Ministry of Finance under the Head-3601.07.101.01.00.31 Grant-in-Aid (General) to cover deficit on Revenue Account in Demand No.38- Transfer to States for the year 2020-21. 4. The above-detailed grant is released on an account basis till finalization of Guidelines on the subject.
