Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told Rajya Sabha on Thursday that China continues to illegally occupy approximately 38,000 square kilometre of India’s territory in Ladakh.

“China continues to illegally occupy approx 38,000 sq km in the Union Territory of Ladakh. In addition, under the so-called Sino-Pakistan 'Boundary Agreement' of 1963, Pakistan illegally ceded 5,180 sq km of Indian territory in PoK to China,” Singh said on the floor of the Upper House.
