KOHIMA: To tackle the COVID-19 infection in the state, the Nagaland government has announced an eight-day complete lockdown from May 14 to May 21.

Meanwhile, the government has introduced a Health Helpline no-- 1800-345-0019 where you can consult with a doctor or a counsellor about the COVID-19 vaccine or whether you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Nagaland in the past 24 hours reported 10 COVID deaths, pushing the death toll to 140.

The state recorded 133 new cases of the novel Coronavirus during the day, taking the state’s caseload to 16283.

The state currently has 2884 active COVID-19 cases.

Moreover, earlier yesterday Kiphire deputy commissioner T Wati Aier ordered the closure of all shops for 72 hours in Kiphire district from today.
