Guwahati, April 9, 2020:

In Guwahati city from Friday to Sunday, even vehicles having essential service passes will have to comply with an odd-even formula amid the 21-day lockdown called by the centre to check the spread of the coronavirus.

Despite having 'essential' permits, from tomorrow, only the vehicles with number plates that end with an even number will be allowed to ply on the roads of Guwahati. -Contrariwise, the day after, only the vehicles having registration plates that end with an odd number shall be allowed to run.

This rule will again be followed on Sunday, when vehicles with number plates ending with an even number shall be allowed to ply on the roads.
