GUWAHATI: Cotton University students on Tuesday vandalized a food stall near the university's premises and soundly thrashed the owner as well as employees. Samir Ahmed, the owner of 'Dilli 6 BBQ', suffered serious injuries and had to be hospitalized.

According to reports, the students, boarders at the SNBC hostel, had gone to a fast food stall called 'Dilli 6 BBQ' to buy water to mix with liquor when they got into a heated argument with the store owner. The youths, suspected to be in an inebriated state, soon became rowdy and attacked the businessman as well as his employees.
