COVID-19 updates: India reports 25,467 fresh cases in last 24 hours

NEW DELHI: India reported 25,467 fresh cases of COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the updates of Union health ministry, India has pushed the overall tally of COVID cases in the country to 32,474,773.

However, In the last 24 hours 354 are reported to be death due to the infection, rising the death toll up to 4,35,110.

Reportedly, the active caseload in the country is 3,19,551 that is lowest in 156 days and accounts for less than 1% of total cases.

As per the reports, a total of 39,486 were discharged in the last 24 hours taking total number of recoveries to 3,17,20,112.

According to health ministry's release the testing has been advanced up in the country.

Meanwhile, India has administered 58.89 crore vaccine doses so far.

Report says, India's on August 7 Covid-19 tally had crossed the 20-lakh mark, 30 lakhs on August 23, 40 lakhs on September 5 and 50 lakhs on September 16. On May 4, India has reached COVID cases up to 2 crores.
