Culture | KAAC announces 8th Rangsina Sarpo Film Awards

Diphu, February 7, 2019:

Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) EM Rupsing Teron, in-charge of Art and Culture, has announced that the 8^th Rangsina Sarpo Film and Folk Artiste Award, 2019 organized by Department of Cultural Affairs, KAAC.

Teron, while addressing the media, said: “Every year the KAAC has taken the initiative to encourage and promote the Karbi community in the field of entertainment by presenting the Rangsina Sarpo Film and Folk Artiste Award. The films which are nominees for the award need to be placed before the screening committee. The final selection will be done by the Selection Committee of Rangsina Sarpo Film Award with Chitra Kr. Bey as chairman”, said EM Teron.

This year, we have a total of twenty-one award categories like ‘best film’, best playback singer (male and female), best lyricist, best choreographer, etc. KAAC CEM Tuliram Ronghang has consented to grace the event as Chief Guest along with his team members. Teron also stated that the award winner will be felicitated with a trophy, certificate, and a cash prize.
