DIMAPUR: Curfew has been imposed under Section 144 CrPC in Jalukie town and adjoining areas in Peren district of Nagaland after an indefinite bandh call by a local organisation in protest against the administration’s failure to nab the guilty in the March 22 killings in the district, turned violent today.

The bandh was called by the United Zeliangrong Youth Federation since yesterday demanding immediate action against the unidentified assailants involved in the March 22 killing of three persons and torching of two vehicles at Lamhainamdi, a disputed border area between Peren and Dimapur districts.
