Dhubri youth arrested after boasting possession of live ammunition on social media

DHUBRI: Police arrested one person, identified as Ratul Ch Das, 35, of College Road here yesterday for possession of two rounds of live ammunition of which he posted a picture on his Facebook account.

Police have also recovered the two bullets from his possession. Police said investigation was on to ascertain if the youth was in connection with any militant or fundamentalist outfit.

“Ratul Ch Das, 35, of College Rd Dhubri boasted on Facebook about possessing 2 Rounds Ammunition. In no time the Power of Social Media got him and his Products where they should be ! #AssamAssemblyElections2021,” Dhubri police tweeted.

In a meme way police said, thought they would have a life like “KarnanTeaser”, but instead got “VakeelSaabTrailer”. “Thought to have #KarnanTeaser like life, but got #VakeelSaabTrailer ,” reads the tweet.

Police said, social media can be a two-edged weapon, please use caution while handling.
