ecome the first sitting US President to step into North Korea.

The outspoken leader met North Korean leader Kim Jong Un at the demilitarized zone (DMZ), and the two leaders held a private bilateral meeting before Kim returned to North Korea.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump had held a bilateral meeting, working lunch, and joint news conference with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in the capital Seoul.

Meanwhile, Trump's diplomatic relations with Kim have caught the attention of none other than the Pope Himself! Pope Francis has praised the meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Sunday saying, “in the last hours, we have assisted in Korea a good example of a culture of dialogue.”

Meanwhile, it seems like Trump was truly awestruck after the experience.

During his journey back to America, US President Donald Trump has tweeted about his trip to the DMZ.

He said it was a "great honor" to stand "on the soil of North Korea," which he described as "an important statement for all."
