Dozamanga, believed to be Mizoram's oldest man, dies at 110

AIZAWL: Dozamanga, who rose to fame as the oldest voter who cast his vote during the 2019 General Elections, passed away on November 28, sources informed.

"Although Dozamanga was 110 when he passed and was believed to be the oldest Mizo alive, it is not certain that he actually is the oldest person in the state. Still, a lot of people know about him as he entered the spotlight after casting his vote in the election last year," a source informed Inside Northeast.

According to reports, Dozamanga, then 109 years old, cast his vote in Khawlian, Mizoram. Photos of the old man, who turned up for the elections wearing warm woolens, went viral on social media platforms during last year's elections.
