Agartala: Tripura's Dharmanagar was hit by an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale on Tuesday.

The earthquake occurred at 5:28 pm on Tuesday at latitude 24.39 and longitude 92.53.

The earthquake originated 38km E of Dharmanagar, Tripura.

The National Centre of Seismology (NCS) shared the information about the tremor through a tweet stating that an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude occurred in Tripura.

The depth of the light intensity quake was 20 kilometers.

Earlier, Meghalaya was hit by an earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale, tremors felt in parts of Assam on Tuesday.

The earthquake occurred at 01:13 am on Tuesday at latitude 25.69 and longitude 91.15, The earthquake originated 22 kilometres North-West of Nongstoin.

The depth of the light intensity quake was 10 kilometers.

Another earthquake of 3.6 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Lunglei district of Mizoram at 10: 39pm on Monday.

However, there are no reports of any injuries or property damage due to the earthquake.
