England Cricket Legend Pietersen Enjoys Flavours of Assam, Spreads Message about Rhino Conservation

Golaghat, March 5, 2020:

England cricketing legend Kevin Pietersen, who was not too long ago feared as one of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket, has now reached Kaziranga National Park with the message of rhino conservation.

It may be mentioned here that Pietersen came to Guwahati on March 4 and reached Kazairanga earlier today. Meanwhile, he has acquiesced to be a part of the Kaziranga Utsav which is scheduled to be held on March 11 at Kohra. The former cricketer also had an interaction with Assam State Forests and Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidiya, who thanked him for his eagerness to spread love about the great one-horned beasts! Pieterson, who has come with an Australian film crew, will reportedly shoot a documentary.

Pietersen, meanwhile, has been actively promoting rhino conservation on his social media. On Instagram, Pietersen uploaded the picture of himself alongside a security guard, alongwith the caption, "Safeguarding India’s wildlife. He says, it’s duty first then family. Duty looks after his family. A GREAT man who serves Indian wildlife with great PRIDE!

The batting legend has also been seen enjoying the local cuisine, and according to his Instagram, he had a hearty meal with a family with a village family living near the National Park. Alongwith a picture of himself in the village, he wrote, "Had the most tasteful lunch in a little village made by these special chefs today. The more I travel in India, the more I fall in LOVE!"

The England cricket legend has also commended Assam for "saving the beasts" and said that Africa should take note. "The rhino population in India is BOOMING! Africa should take note!Saving these iconic species CAN be done and IS being done here!"
