Ex NDFB United forum to organise mass gathering at Assam’s Udalguri on September 8
UDALGURI: Former cadres of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) would hold a mass gathering programme at Nalbari playground in Udalguri district of Assam on September 8, 2021, to demand the release of founder president and BTR accord/Peace accord signatory Ranjan Daimary, as well as other cadres who are currently imprisoned.
According to sources, the two-hour mass gathering programme will be held under the Ex NDFB United Forum, Udalguri.
The programme will be followed to other districts like–Chirang, Kokrajhar, Baksa, Sonitpur, and Gopur from the next day.
Several social organisations and political parties, however, are demanding the release of Ranjan Daimary and other cadres for peace initiatives in the region as part of a tripartite agreement reached with the government of India, the government of Assam, and the BTC administration on January 27, 2020, with the NDFB and other Bodo organisations.
Ex NDFB United forum, Udalguri has requested the people to join on mass gathering for grant success.
It needs to be mention that, as per the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) peace agreement on 27/01/2020 the cases of cadres and leaders were supposed to be reviewed and release but the present Assam Government and Promod Boro lead BTC/BTR government has delayed the process said Ex NDFB.
