Excise operation continues in Kamrup District; 113 litre liquor destroyed

AMINGAON: Excise raid continued in Kamrup district amid the district administration's resolve to make the district free from illicit liquor.

As a part of this operation, the Excise department has raided various places of the district namely 26 no Colony of Amingaon Market, Lathiya Park, and Bangshor from 28th July to 30th July.

Officials said that two persons have been sent to judicial custody after filing FIR under section 53 (1) a of the Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. On the other hand, approximately 113-litre illicit liquor and 2,200 kg of fermented wash were destroyed in the operation.
