'Fani' blows away roof of AIIMS in Bhubaneswar

The devastating cyclone “Fani” that has hit the state of Odisha blew off the roof at the undergraduate hostel in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar.

The roof of the building at AIIMS Bhubaneswar was blown off by the cyclone Fani yesterday.

As per reports, the structure of AIIMS has been dealt with extensive damage as water tanks were blown off, lighting poles were taken down, and air conditioners were damaged. However, all patients, staff, and students are safe.

The extremely severe cyclonic storm packed with rain and winds with speeds of up to 175 kmph caused by the cyclone Fani hit Odisha on Friday uprooting trees and sweeping away thatched huts, blowing away cars, buses and destroying property.
