NEW DELHI: A massive fire broke out at a shoe factory in Delhi’s Udyog Nagar this morning.
According to reports, at least five to six persons have gone missing. No injuries have been reported so far.
The Fire Department along with 24 fire tenders were rushed to the spot after receiving a call about the blaze around 8.22 am. Firefighting activities are underway, with 24 fire engines on the spot.
The factory owner said that it is possible that the missing persons are stuck inside, but it cannot be confirmed at this point in time.
Firefighting operations could last until late evening, said the Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg.
The cause of the fire is yet to determined. Further information is awaited.
