Former Cricketer Gautam Gambhir files defamation against Atishi

Delhi, May, 10, 2019:

The BJP’S East Delhi candidate Gautam Gambhir filed a defamation case against AAP leaders after accusing distributing “derogatory” pamphlets.

AAP candidate against Gambhir, Atishi Marlena broke down during a press conference on Thursday afternoon as she read out parts of the pamphlet, where she has stated that pamphlet was being distributed with newspapers in areas such as Vivek Vihar and Krishna Nagar.

The purported pamphlet has derogatory remarks against Atishi and also about deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia.

AAP leaders said they will file a defamation case against BJP.

Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) further criticised Gambhir on social media and other platforms as Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the BJP nominee had “stoop so low”, while urging Atishi Marlena to stay strong.

Meanwhile Gautam Gambhir sends notice to Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Atishi demanding ‘unconditional apology’ over AAP pamphlet distribution against him.
