GUWAHATI: As many as four Bangladeshi Nationals have been apprehended along the Indo–Bangladesh International border on October 2 while crossing the Indo-Bangladesh International Border.

The BSF troops of Guwahati Frontier during different operations against trans-border crimes seized 6000 Yaba tablets, 224 bottles of Phensedyl, and 5.250 Kg  Ganja.

On specific intelligence input, on October 2, 2021, the troops of Border Outpost Khurshahat of 38 Bn BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier seized 6000 Nos Yaba tablets worth Rupees 30,00000/-, while consignment was being attempted to be smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

The seized Yaba tablets have been handed over to P.S- Sahibganj, Distt- Coochbehar (WB) for further legal action.

In another operation on the same day, four Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended by the troops of BOP Dharla of 129 BN under SHQ Coochbehar, while crossing the Indo-BD International Border.

In other operations on October 2 and 3,2021, the vigilant troops under the aegis of BSF Guwahati Frontier seized 224 bottles of prohibited cough syrup and 5.250 Kg Ganja on the Indo-Bangladesh border while attempting to smuggle to Bangladesh.

Keeping in view of the vulnerability of the border, heightened activities of a drug trafficker,s and anti-national elements on the border, BSF troops are always alert towards the issues of trans-border crimes including drug trafficking & illegal trans-border crimes, and are making all-out efforts to prevent the commission of such crimes.
