KOHIMA: Police today arrested a 24-year-old man, identified as Ravozo Medeo, for duping people with promises of jobs in the police department.

 

A resident of Mission Compound here, Medeo had allegedly issued fake appointment letters with forged signatures of certain high ranking officials in police headquarters and that of the superintendent of police of a district.

A case has been registered at North Police Station here in this connection and further investigation is being conducted, police said.

 

Police has also appealed to the citizens to be cautious of such frauds and to report such cases to police for initiating necessary criminal proceedings.
