Guwahati, January 27, 2019:

There is nothing that Twitterati loves more than a Twitter war of words between high profile personalities. This time, it was Rahul Gandhi, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Gaurav Gogoi who entertained the Twitterati. After Himanta had initially criticized Rahul Gandhi for his comments in which he had alleged that the BJP is trying to “polarize” the Northeast, Gaurav Gogoi promptly came to the rescue of his party leader Rahul Gandhi.

"I am disturbed by the growing violence & unrest in the N East where religion & ethnicity are being used as weapons by the BJP to polarise the region for political gain. This type of politics, that pitches brother against brother & fans hatred, is evil & must be stopped," Mr Gandhi tweeted on Friday, alluding to the alleged communal policies of the BJP government in the state. Himanta, a former-Congressman turned BJP strategist in Northeast, was quick to jump on Mr. Gandhi’s throat.

"Dear Rahul Gandhi, Perplexed by your anxiety. Are you aware how Congress has strangulated NE for decades? Don't give value judgements. We're talking to people to address genuine concerns. Some fake protestors, with bare or no support, are withering away. Rest assured, NE is safe!" responded Biswa Sarma.

Gaurav Gogoi, the young Prince of Congress politics in the state of Assam was quick to fire back at the BJP Minister. “Dear Himanta Biswa dangoriya, please be consistent with your sermons. Nobody remembers you protesting against INC India policies when you had powerful ministerial positions, in charge of implementing Assam Accord, and started your private channel. BJP India should withdraw CAB”, he said, in a rebuke to the Assam Finance Minister.

Himanta finally slammed the Congress party by calling it the party of "Master & Slaves" and added that "only one family is powerful~neither you nor me", alluding to the Gandhi family.
