New Delhi, November 17, 2019:

‘Missing’ posters of cricketer-turned-politician, Gautam Gambhir were found pinned to the trees in Central Delhi.

A message reading, “Have you seen this man? He was last spotted at Indore enjoying Jalebis,” was written in bold letters under the images. It also read that the whole of Delhi was searching for him.

The East Delhi MP, who was in Indore for the India-Bangladesh cricket fixture, missed an important meeting held to address the alarming levels of air pollution in Delhi/NCR. This was followed by criticisms from politicians and locals.

It is to be mentioned here that the meeting was organized after the Supreme Court pulled up the Delhi government over its Odd-Even scheme in order to manage the pollution menace. It termed the move ‘half-baked’ and said that despite the odd/even implementation, pollution levels were on the rise.

Former Indian Cricketer VVS Laxman shared an image, where he was seen savouring jalebis with Gautam Gambhir. Responding to the image, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said that instead of sitting in commentary boxes and enjoying cricket matches, Gautam Gambhir should stop playing blame games over pollution and attend meetings on air pollution, which he skipped.

Soon after, a fight over the 'Jalebi' tweet began between the AAP and Gautam Gambhir. However, it may be mentioned here that Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Vice Chairman Tarun Kapoor and all three Municipal Corporation of Delhi commissioners were among other notable absentees, apart from East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir.
