Sikkim's Girish And The Chronicles, premier rock band to head Switzerland for UR Rock Music Festival

GANGTOK: Girish And The Chronicles (GATC), a premier rock band of the northeastern state Sikkim is all set to travel to Switzerland in November 2021 for the ‘UR Rock Music Festival,' which will feature one of the legendary rock acts – Nazareth.

After the release of its music album 'Rock The Highway' in April 2020, the heavy metal band was invited to the Switzerland music festival to kick off its European Tour.

Girish Pradhan (vocalist/guitarist), Yogesh Pradhan (bassist), Suraj Karki (lead guitars), and Nagen Mongranti (drums) of the team are currently based in Bengaluru.

This October will mark the band's 12th anniversary.

Besides, online portals like – Metal Injection, Metal Sucks, and Classic Rock Magazine have also appreciated the album.

Girish and the Chronicles, a Hard Rock/Melodic Rock/Progressive/Heavy Metal band from Sikkim, was formed in October 2009 and is currently based in Bengaluru. Since then, it has been a prominent name in the country's Hard Rock/Metal scene.

The Girish And The Chronicles is known for heavily overdriven guitars and high-pitched screaming vocals, as well as high-energy live performances. Their songs reflect the sound of hard rock, heavy metal music, and power ballads from the 1970s and 1980s.

GATH also informed Sikkim Express that the band has been booked for the Hard Rock Hell (HRH) festival, which will be held in Manchester, the UK in 2022.

Their most recent album, Rock The Highway (2020), has been featured in several rock magazines around the world.

Over the years, Girish And The Chronicles established a strong reputation and name in India's rock scene. They have toured the country and performed in countries other than India.
