GNRC faked Rajkanya Baruah’s medical report to protect her from police?

GUWAHATI: Rajkanya Baruah, the prime accused of Guwahati’s Rukmini gaon road accident, was arrested by Dispur police today from GNRC where she was being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Bailed out Rajkanya Baruah, who had toppled a PWD vehicle injuring eight on-duty workers and a pedestrian with her speeding car on October 2 at around 2 am allegedly in a drunkard state, was summoned by Dispur police yesterday but she did not appear giving the reason of bad health condition and later admitted to GNRC ICU.

This morning a six-member medical team of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) reached GNRC and re-verified Rajkanya Baruah’s health condition and found nothing serious as such to be admitted not only to an ICU but also a hospital.

The report filed by the GMCH medical team stated, “Various clinical scores were applied APACHE & RTC was applied to the clinical and biochemical reports which do not fit to keep her into an ICU set up/ Medical admission.”

According to the reports, Rajkanya Baruah’s CT brain and X-ray Cervical spine are within the normal limits as well as are the blood investigations.

“In view of the above findings, she is fit to appear before I/O for the needful and does not require any hospitalisation,” stated the report.

Report by GMCH medical team

In case of a medical emergency, Rajkanya Baruah was allowed to visit GMCH OPD.

Now questions arise, did GNRC admit Rajkanya Baruah with false reports in order to save her from the police? Was not it an interruption in police procedure? Will GNRC authority be taken under the law for trying to protect a suspected criminal who almost killed nine?
