Gold smuggler apprehended in Assam Railway Station

Guwahati, February 28, 2019:

Rangia Railway Police on Wednesday staff picked up a person named Sajal Debnath, aged 34 and originally hailing from Koch Bihar in West Bengal. He was apprehended with two gold biscuits weighing 100 grams each and some silver while he was in the retiring room with intention to head to Silapathar in Dhemaji district.

Steps are being taken to hand him over to customs officials tomorrow in Guwahati for follow up action.
