GURUGRAM: A health worker in Haryana’s Gurugram died on Friday, six days after she was given the first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Rajwanti, a 55-year-old health worker posted at the PHC Center in Bhangraula, was among the first to get the Covid-19 vaccine shot on Saturday, January 16.

Over 130 hours later, in the wee hours of Friday morning, she died at her home.

According to sources, her family said that she did not wake up in the morning and was brought dead at the Medanta hospital.

Now the family is seeking a ban on the vaccine. Rajwanti’s son has filed an FIR at New Colony police station in Gurugram against the vaccine.

But Gurgaon’s Chief Medical Officer Dr Virendra Yadav said that it would be incorrect to relate Rajwanti’s death with vaccine until her post-mortem report is out.

Rajwanti was given the Covishield coronavirus vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India funded heavily by Bill Gates.

Earlier on January 18 another Indian hospital worker from U.P died just after 24 hours after receiving the vaccine from Serum Institute of India.

However, the post mortem report revealed the immediate cause of death as “cardiogenic shock/septicemic shock” due to “cardio-pulmonary disease”, according to the Uttar Pradesh government.
