Guwahati records hottest October day in over a decade

GUWAHATI: With maximum temperature touching 37.2°C, October 13 was the hottest October day in over a decade in Guwahati.

Last year, Guwahati recored a highest of 36°C. Earlier in October 2009, the city recored 37°C.

The last highest temperature was on August 5, 2020, when the Guwahati recorded a maximum of 38.6°C.

The record temperature in Guwahati was 40.3 degrees Celsius on May 1, 1960.
