Guwahati, February 17, 2020:

Pramod Boro, one of the most prominent Bodo leaders, said that Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary insulted the martyrs of Bodo Andolan.

“He (Mohilary) was present there with us when the Bodo Accord was signed. He should have asked before signing as to what the Accord had in it. He is speaking this and that for political interest. Doing this is a direct insult to the fighters of the Bodo Andolan,” said Boro.

He added, “It is an insult to the martyrs of Bodo Andolan. It is like an insult to the Bodo people, Assamese and the entire government of India.”

According to Pramod Boro the people should not give much importance to what Hagrama Mohilary says. “The Bodo Accord has been signed for the broader interest of the public. We have to work for the development instead,” he added.
