Heroin worth Rs 94 lakh seized in Mizoram

AIZAWL: In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling activities, Assam Rifles troops today seized a huge amount of heroin from Mizoram apprehending one person in connection with the drug case.

The contraband Heroin NO-4 weighing 235 gms was recovered from in general area Ruantlang - Khankawn road in Mizoram.

The operation was carried out by a joint team of 8 Assam Rifles, 2 Assam Rifles and 20 FIT based on specific information.

The approximate cost of the seized contraband Heroin NO-4,is Rs 94,00,000.

The recovered items and detained one individual handed over to Police Station Champhai, Dist Champhai for further legal proceedings.
