Congress leader and ex-party President Rahul Gandhi tweeted on what he indicated are the failures of the NDA government based on Harvard Case Studies. He stated, that Covid19, demonetisation and GST implementation as the key failures of the present government.

To counter that, Assam State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and NEDA Chief replied to Rahul Gandhi. He called Rahul Gandhi "arrogant" and stated that, "HBS knows your failures well Rahul Gandhi. A demonetised brain. Virus of arrogance and disrespect towards others. Inability to implement any people-friendly measure, inability to respect our armed forces and more. HBS can make many case studies on them too".

Things took a new political turn when Congress leader and MP Gaurav Gogoi tweeted against Himanta Biswa's tweet. He stated, "people of Assam are quite familiar with your story.

  1. Manabendra Sarma death.
  2. Saradha case.
  3. Louis Berger bribery.

Everybody knows why you had to run to find protection in BJP. After jumping from AASU to Congress, can you even promise that you will never leave BJP?". Gogoi took potshots against Sarma regarding his previous reports on his alleged links with the 3 issues he raised.

Manabendra Sarma was Congress leader and Assam Indian National Trade Union Congress president, who was shot dead in Guwahati in February 1991. Earlier AGP's Prafulla Mahanta and now Gaurav Gogoi has tried to raise the issue of the murder. Gaurav also raised the issue of the different parties Sarma has been part of (formerly he was a State Minister under Congress) and questioned his party loyalty.

Himanta Biswa Sarma has earlier slamed Rahul Gandhi "of feeding his dog instead of listening to Assam's problems".
