BAKSA: Hagrama Mohilary, the former Chief of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) Chief today claimed that Assam's Health, Finance, and Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shall step down as Minister as he will lose his "respect." "He will resign as his self-respect will be gone," Hagrama said on the sidelines of an election rally on Friday.

The former BTC Chief also claimed that the BJP shall not win a single Seat during the polls and turned down heavily on former party member Biswajit Daimary, who, he claimed, had taken bribes from ICDS supervisers.

"He had taken Rs. 2-3 lakh from ICDS supervisers and falsely claimed that he would regularize their posts. He is now Minister or MLA, but he has taken a lot of money," claimed Hagrama.

Hagrama also stated that none of the MCLAs will go with the BJP party after the polls. Responding to a query on whether the BJP can buy MLAs and MCLAs after the elections, Hagrama said that it is not possible in the BTC. "Buying and selling of MLAs might take place in Upper Assam, but that will certainly not be the case here," he said.
