Himanta Biswa Sharma is EVM manipulator: Ripun Bora

Guwahati, April 30, 2019:

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora on Monday wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner and alleged that Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is an "EVM manipulation expert" and the EVMs were brought to the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Rural) under the constituency that belongs to Sarma.

Ripun Bora also mentioned that the strong room for the used EVMs at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup (Rural) is also not maintaining the security norms because of which there is access to the main door of the strong room.

Bora further mentioned that the so called ‘unused EVMs’ brought from different parts of the state stored at Himantsingka Workshop are also without adequate security.

Therefore, the APCC president has demanded immediate action against the perpetrators of the incident.
