Addressing a massive rally here as part of the BJP's formal launch of Assam assembly election campaign, the BJP leader also promised to upgrade the Margherita subdivisional hospital to a 200-bedded hospital and a state-of-the-art stadium at the Dehing-Patkai Sports Complex here.

Apart from the promises to develop Margherita, the powerful minister also promised 1 lakh government jobs to educated youths within a year of forming the next government and to generate 10 lakh job avenues for the state’s youth in five years.

Claiming that the Congress could not deliver even 10 per cent in 15 years of what the BJP-AGP government had delivered over the past five years, he reiterated that Congress is not more than a demonetised Rs 500 currency note.
