NEW DELHI: India is all set to kickstart the second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive across the country from tomorrow, which will cover over 10 crore people.

Over 10,000 government health centres and around 12,000 private centres will conduct the vaccination drive.

In this round, people over the age of 60 or over 45 with certain health issues will be eligible for vaccination.

The latest version of the Co-WIN (www.cowin.gov.in) portal will be GPS-enabled, and beneficiaries will be able to choose between government and private facilities for their inoculation sessions.

Four persons can be enrolled using a single mobile app. People can also register using the Aarogya Setu app by verifying one-time passwords (OTPs).

For those who do not have mobile phones, 2.5 lakh common service centres with proper internet facilities have been built.

Those that are unable to register themselves should go directly to the vaccination centre with the necessary documents and can be enrolled.

The vaccination will be free at the government facilities, however, it will be at private facilities.

People above 60 years of age, do not need to carry any additional documents, but they may need to check their identity with an Aadhaar card, a driver's license, a voter identity card passport, and a PAN card when visiting the centre as they are not accepted online.

A co-morbidity certificate is required for those aged between 45 to 60.
