URI- The Surgical Strike

Vicky Kaushal gives a spectacular performance as Major Vihaan Singh Shergill who would definitely make you fall in love with his him as well as the nation.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh

There are a bagful of ‘Bhagat Singh’ movies that have been made in the Indian film industry. However, the Ajay Devgan starrer one is to be watched out for.  This biographical feature chronicles his childhood, family life and everything right from his salad days, the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the the day he was hanged.

Swades

Swades, that chronicles the life of Mohan Bhargava (played by Shah Rukh Khan), an Americanised Indian scientist, who returns to his hometown to find his nanny. After the death of his parents, he made his mind to look for his nanny and bring her back to America. The movie follows his evolution and the moment of epiphanies that leads him to work for his nation.

 

Mangal Pandey

The Amir Khan starrer film narrates the life of Indian Sepoy Mangal Pandey in the Bristish regiment. Pandey played a crucial role preceding the Indian rebellion of 1857.  His contribution has been immortalised in many works of art, including this production, nailed by Aamir Khan as the protagonist.  For a next to prefect representation of the time before the sepoy mutiny, one can go for this movie without any doubt.

Baby

This film is the one for those who have an appetite for something other than an usual biographical movie as it depicts patriotism with a pinch of classy thriller. Starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Danny Denzongpa, Anupam Kher and Kay Kay Menon, the unfolds a secret mission undertaken by an Indian intelligence agency to prevent a terrorist attack and also to look for kingpins.
