India records 91,702 new cases of COVID-19; deaths jump to 3,400

NEW DELHI: India recorded 91,702 new cases of COVID-19 and 3,403 new deaths in the last 24 hours with 32,74,672 vaccinated , taking the total vaccination number to 2,46,085,649, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare on Friday.

For the fourth day in a row cases did not cross the 100,000-mark, as 91,702 new cases of the coronavirus disease were reported in India; the COVID-19 tally surpassed 29.27 million.

The number of persons who have recovered from the sickness has increased to 2,77,90,073, bringing the recovery rate to 94.93 percent, according to the data.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 37,42,42,384 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far, with 20,44,131 samples examined on Thursday. According to the health ministry's dashboard, 24,60,85,649 doses of COVID-19 vaccination have been administered across the country so far.
